You will find a classical run boatyard in the beautiful surrounding of Pilion, where boats are taken out in a traditional way by a trailer and stored on wooden piles like it is done since hundreds of years in the Aegean. 

All of us are passionate sailors with thousands of miles of experience in sailing and maintaining vessels as captains and boat owners.

We love to provide a creative atmosphere and enjoy the exchange and companionship of people from all over the world to come together in our yard for what all of us are passionate about – and this is the reason why we called this place the captains club boatyard!

Kala Nera is located on the Pilion Peninsula, near the city of Volos in Pagasitikos Gulf. It is an ideal starting point to explore Agean Sea and it ravishing islands.

The village is in 5 minutes walking distance from the boatyard and provides supermarkets, bakery, butcher and multiple taverns & cafes.

A hardware store for basic supplies like wood, sanding paper, brushes&rollers and all sort of paints and varnishes is around 1.5km away from the yard.

The city of Volos where you can find chandlers can be reached within half an hour by public transport.

Right outside the yard you will find beaches to enjoy the sea.
